Error: "Call recording Media Player null ServeMedia error" When Playing a Call Recording

Overview

You may come across an error when trying to play a call recording that shows an encrypted file name, such as:

The error message that you may receive is shown below:

Call recording Media Player null ServeMedia error

 

Solution

The security cookie of the user may have expired. Please follow the steps below:

Note: A VoltDelta account with extended playback permission is required. 

  1. Log out from the VoltDelta product.
  2. Using the Internet Explorer options under Security, clear the cookies. Refer to How to delete cookie files in Internet Explorer for further instructions. 
  3. Close Internet Explorer.
  4. Log in again to the VoltDelta and try the transaction again.

If the issue persists, please create a support ticket, providing snapshots or a detailed log of the error, as well as the date/time or call ID.
