You enquire as to whether there is a reason why you can only use your Volt Dashboard on Internet Explorer and not on another browser.
You would like to know whether the Volt Delta portal is supported only on Internet Explorer or on other browsers as well.
Information
Due to the fact your Volt Delta platform runs on Microsoft CRM 2011 version, it is based on the Internet Explorer browser but you can still try loading the site on other browsers as well. Please refer to this Microsoft page for the details: Browser compatibility with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011.
However, for accessing the Call recordings and downloading them, an ActiveX plugin is required. This will only work on the Internet Explorer browser and if you are able to enable the IE mode on the Edge browser then you can also use Edge for the call recordings (for more details read the article about What is Internet Explorer (IE) mode?)
For enabling IE mode on the Edge browser follow these steps:
- Verify whether Internet Explorer 11 is enabled under Windows Features.
- Open the Edge browser
- Go to [three dots upper right corner] Settings > Default browser
- Under the “Internet Explorer compatibility” section, for the “Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode” select "Allow".
- Click Restart, to have the browser restarted and the settings applied.
