Observe shows only a handful of Agents, however, 50+ agents are handling calls

Overview

Your Observe function does not seem to be working correctly. You have 50+ agents call handling however the Observe feature only shows only a handful (~10).

Solution

When you notice this please contact our Support Team so they can ask our Infrastructure Team to solve the root cause of this issue.

OASIS servers need to be time-synchronized, otherwise, existing User Logon Sessions will be marked as inactive in Oasis Management Portal.

The VMs running the IWS servers tend to drift away (get desynchronized) although they are configured to have time synchronization with the default Microsoft settings.

A support agent with admin rights on the hosted platform can perform the necessary actions.

Either a Network Time Synchronizer application can be installed on the servers or the default registry settings for the Windows Time (W32Time) service can be changed by updating the following registry entries:

  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\TimeProviders\VMICTimeProvider
    • Enabled=0
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\Config
    • MaxAllowedPhaseOffset=1
    • UpdateInterval=100
    • MaxPollInterval=6
    • MinPollInterval=3
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\Parameters
    • NtpServer=<Domain Controller IPs>,0x8

The W32Time ( Windows Time) service has to be restarted after the registry changes were made.

Testing

Once our Support Team confirms that the issue has been solved, your agents will need to log off and re-login to have them shown on the Observe list.
